Safety is an important aspect of our successful operations. We are a company committed to upholding and enforcing policies and practices that will maintain a safe and healthful work environment in accordance with industry standards and in compliance with legislative requirements in all of our regions of operation.
We hold C.O.R certification and are continually monitoring and updating our safety processes and policies. We monitor company-wide statistics on our safety record and utilize a documented reporting process to help us achieve our safety goals.
Dowland has an orientation program that all workers are a part of, and we provide specialized safety training to our employees in areas that will help to ensure a safe and healthy work site. We have documented hazard identification and control procedures in place, and regular formal and informal inspections take place on all of our work sites.
Dowland is committed to a high standard of safety and will continue to provide the necessary tools, resources and equipment to achieve a successful safety program at all of our locations. We work with numerous governing safety bodies and reputable training facilities to continually provide the level of safety on our work sites that will enable all employees to complete projects in a safe and healthful manner.
Dowland has achieved recognition through the WSCC’s Safe Advantage Program. This program is targeted at large employers who meet specific criteria and whose management practices are focused on prevention and return to work programs. We are proud to have achieved this standard and continue to review and improve our Health Safety and Environment program to ensure the best workplace for all our employees.
