Project Description


The Inuvik School is a 129,000 sq ft Kindergarten to Grade12 school with two freestanding shop buildings in Inuvik, NT.

This is a two story steel building with ad-freeze pile foundation, concrete on metal deck floor assembly and steel structure. One wing is an elementary school with another being the high school sharing common services. Cost saving ideas and value engineering efforts are a constant metric throughout the planning and design of this project. Special emphasis was given to minimize disruption to the nearby school and local traffic concerns.
